Surely it's nice to read about this upcoming mix of RPG and science-fiction, but we’re aware that some of you would prefer seeing something more than just letters on your screen. Quite likely, we will see a review or two before the end of February, or so we would like to think. There’s not much time for the developers to do anything aside some finishing touches, so we want to believe that the magic of older games from this developer will be strong here. We won’t have to wait for ages to see the game in action, as Elex II release date is the 1st of March 2022.

Maybe it will become what the previous entry in the series aspired to be? Hopefully so, as we’re more than tempted to buy Elex II anyway. All of that in the world of an RPG from the creators of the Gothic series? You can’t blame us for having high hopes for this title. Many years after the events of Elex, Jax will find himself on a planet called Magalan, which is endangered by a new threat, led by dark Elex… The return of a jetpack, multiple fractions to side with, followed by the twisted dichotomy between modern and undeveloped ways of living we remember from the first game.
The game will continue the story of the first entry in the series. If it manages to redeem our trust in Piranha’s vision, we’re all for it. Nonetheless, what’s in the past doesn’t matter as much as what we will see in the sequel. Alas, it was kind of diminished by things we know the studio for all too well: stiff, awkward dialogues and gameplay that could be way better. It had some cool ideas (you can't go wrong with jetpacks in the game), a phenomenal setting and lots of potential. In the end, first Elex wasn’t necessarily a bad game.
